Farewell February, Hello March and hallelujah to seeing the daffodils peep their head above ground. Spring is looking to have exploded and so too did our Spring Dance event co-presented by The Dome at The Basement on Friday 15th, showcasing next generation talent in the shape of Amy Morvell, Panos Malactos and Natalie Bell. It was great to have a packed house there to support the advent of these bright stars careers, so a big thank you to all who came and a heads up to keep an eye out for them to those of you who couldn’t. 50:50 Dance Programming – Is it time forquotas?
On Tuesday 5th March, as part of The Dome Spring programme celebrating International Women’s Day, South East Dance Artistic Director Cath James will host 50:50 programming asking if the solution to refocusing the spotlight on female dance makers is to apply quotas.
