Distribution
We currently reactively distribute our back catalogue of films and actively distribute our new commissions annually to the international film festival circuit.

Distribution Surgeries We can offer information and advice to artists who would like guidance in distribution however we are not able to distribute work on behalf of other artists at this time.

Distribution Solutions We are delighted that Peter Luxton of Luxton Cultural Associates (www.luxtoncultural.net) is working with us producing a feasibility study which will explore the development of Screen Dance distribution. Peter is heading up a team of experts which includes Morris Hargreaves Macintyre (www.lateralthinkers.com) a Manchester based cultural consultancy and market research organisation and Edinburgh International Film Festival (www.edfilmfest.org.uk).
The research will determine the extent of customer interest, and potential demand for, screen dance ‘products’ in the UK and abroad and will recommend product development solutions resulting in a marketing and sales strategy and implementation plan for South East Dance.
This project comes from our desire to enable more people to be able to easily find and watch screen dance work.
Dance film curations and touring South East Dance has built a national network for the screening of dance film and video. The Capture 1 and 2 collections (created through Arts Council England’s commissioning scheme for screen-based dance) were toured across the network in 2001/2002 and again in 2003/2004, while TAKE7, a South East Dance production, was toured in 2002/2003. TAKE7 is a specially curated programme of some of the best British dance films and is currently available to buy as a DVD. If you would like a copy please visit TAKE7.

New available now Our latest curation was for British Dance Edition, held in Liverpool between 30 January - 2 February 2008. This was a curation of new short screen dance work.
