South East Dance produces films and large scale screen dance projects.

Projects include :

Forward Motion. Leading British Screen Dance.

Forward Motion is a British Council project co-produced with South East Dance. It is a package of high quality British screen dance expertly curated into three programmes. Featuring historic, seminal and ground breaking films, Forward Motion creates a moving snapshot of Britain’s prolific screen dance industry. The programmes are available for screenings worldwide, fully supported by extensive technical and marketing guidance from South East Dance, the leading screen dance organisation in the UK.

Y'DScreen

Y'DScreen was a unique project co-produced by South East Dance and Youth Dance England which created opportunites for emerging film directors to work with youth dance groups to create four dance films for TV broadcast. For more information click here.

Dance Screen Brighton

Dance Screen Brighton 2005 was delivered in partnership with IMZ, Vienna. The 10th International Competitive Festival for Dance Films and Videos was attended by hundreds of delegates from all over the world, a total of 237 film entries where submitted from 25 countries. International Exchange Programme

South East Dance have developed two international exchanges to date, one to Canada and the other to Argentina, tailored to the individual artists needs and utilising our international contacts.
