'I  love being able to go to different locations , it's very much about how the body relates to the landscape and the location.'

Fold plays between the bejewelled, costumed surface of a dancer’s body and the emotive depth of her movement. The piece deconstructs the vocabulary of classical South Asian dance through in-camera and in-edit choreography. The dance form is transformed by the filmic medium, giving the viewer an intimate and unusual perspective of South Asian dance. The specially commissioned musical score works in tandem with the movement.

This film was commissioned by South East Dance, Moving Pictures Festival of Dance on Film and Video, Channel Four and Bravo Fact.
