Making connections through dance...

South East Youth Dance Network

A 'one-stop' shop for people to exchange ideas, form partnerships and collaborations, share skills and raise the quality and accessibility of youth dance.

The South East Youth Dance Network was set up by South East Dance in partnership with the Dance Partners South East consortium in 2003 to provide a single forum for practitioners, youth leaders, youth dance officers and other people responsible for youth dance in the South East region (East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Brighton & Hove, Medway, Hampshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire). Since starting as one of the first regional networks in England, it is now managed by Youth Dance England and is part of a national infrastructure for youth dance.

The Youth Dance England Regional Co-ordinator for the South East is Sophie Amstell and she is based at Hampshire Dance. Sophie sends a regular newsletter with details of performance opportunities for young people, training for practitioners and other related news and information. To send information to be included in the newsletter or to join the Network please contact Sophie on the details below

For more information about Youth Dance England and to add your classes or activities to their database you can visit their website at www.yde.org.uk.
