Dance Partners South East

Collaborating through dance....
Dance Partners South East is a strategic, regional body dedicated to:
- Increasing the standards of dance delivery through trailblazing projects and passionate dedication to the professional development of community dance practitioners
- Advocating and lobbying for increased provision for dance development through the collation and production of robust evidence
- Sharing good practice, increasing resources and working together to ensure the ongoing development of a regional dance strategy
- Over the past 6 years Dance Partners South East have met regularly working together on a focus of targeting young people 'at risk'

- Brighton and Hove City Council - Donna Close, Arts Development Manager
- West Sussex County Council - Lorna Brown, Head of Arts and Cultural Strategy and Kirsty Bell, Dance Development Officer
- Surrey County Arts - Dance - Gail Brown, Dance Development Officer
- Hampshire Dance - Lucy Frazer, Dance Director
- Oxford City Council – Claire Thompson, Arts Officer (Dance & Theatre)
- South East Dance – Mairead Turner, Chief Executive and Kyla Lucking, Head of Community & Learning
- Youth Dance England - Jo Basham, South East Regional Co-ordinator
Dance Partners South East is currently reviewing its shared priorities and future projects will be announced on this page. As part of this review we will be expanding the membership to Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Gail Brown, Dance Development Officer at Surrey County Arts is leading the review of the consortium.
