Lone DancesSouth East Dance is delighted to announce that Virginia Farman and her performer Fiona Zeyfert have been selected for the Lone Dances commission 2008. Lone Dances is an opportunity for a non-trained performer to work with a professional choreographer and have access to all the resources used to create a solo for the professional stage. moving Voices has been awarded £206,324 funding by v, the youth volunteering charity, to get young people positively involved in their communities. The project will involve 3,218 young people aged 16- 25 to lead their own youth dance committees, plan and deliver dance activities and teach dance to the people in their communities. More... |

HeroesSouth East Dance has been invited by Creative Partnerships Hastings and East Sussex to work with year six pupils from two schools in Hastings. The 12 week project will give pupils the opportunity to improve their literacy skills through creative dance classes. At the same time dance artists and teachers will work together to develop new approaches for teaching dance creatively. More... |
Physical FilmPhysical Film will bring together young people 'at risk' of social exclusion from Kent to create and distribute a high quality screen dance film. The film they create will be distributed nationally and they will learn the tricks of the trade such as camera skills, planning shots and editing. The project will be facilitated by South East Dance and supported by talented film and dance practitioners from the region. More... |

To arrange a meeting with one of our members of staff please contact Emily James. We can offer free desk time and facilities at the South East Dance offices in Brighton, to dance artists.
